This Rental Agreement forms part of the Ryder’s Xchange Terms & Conditions and
applies to all vehicle bookings completed through the Ryder’s Xchange platform.
Host and Renter Agreement
This Vehicle Rental Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between:
Host:
The vehicle owner or authorised vehicle provider listing the vehicle on Ryder’s Xchange.
and
Renter:
The person booking and using the vehicle through Ryder’s Xchange.
The Host and Renter agree that this Agreement governs the rental, use, condition, return and responsibility of the vehicle.
By completing a booking through Ryder’s Xchange, the Renter agrees to the documents listed
below, which together form this Rental Agreement.

Together, these documents form the agreement between the following parties:
Vehicle Host:
The owner or authorised provider of the vehicle listed on Ryder’s Xchange.
Renter:
The person booking and operating the vehicle. - Vehicle Booking Details
The booking details for each rental are those shown on the Ryder’s Xchange platform at the time
the booking is confirmed. - Acceptance of Vehicle
The Renter acknowledges that the vehicle is supplied by the Host in reasonable operating
condition at the start of the booking.
Before starting the rental, the Renter must inspect the vehicle and report any existing damage,
defects, or concerns through the Ryder’s Xchange platform.
The Renter agrees to return the vehicle:
- At the agreed return location;
- At the agreed booking end time;
- In the same condition as received, allowing for reasonable wear and tear;
- With all keys, accessories and equipment supplied.
If the vehicle is not returned as agreed, additional charges may apply under the Ryder’s Xchange
Late Return & Extension Policy.
- Late Return / Extension
If the Renter wants to extend the booking, they must submit an extension request through
Ryder’s Xchange before the booking expiry time.
If the vehicle is not returned on time:
- Additional rental charges may apply;
- Late fees may apply;
- The Host may report the vehicle as overdue;
- Further recovery action may be taken where required.

- Approved Drivers
Only the Renter and approved drivers registered through Ryder’s Xchange may operate the
vehicle.
The vehicle must not be driven by:
- Any unapproved driver;
- Any person without a valid licence;
- Any person affected by alcohol or drugs;
- Any person providing false licence or identity information.
The Renter remains responsible for all approved drivers.
- Prohibited Vehicle Use
The vehicle must not be used:
- Outside the agreed usage area;
- For racing, speed testing or motorsport;
- For illegal activities;
- To transport dangerous goods;
- To tow another vehicle unless approved;
- Off-road unless authorised;
- In a reckless or unsafe manner;
- In breach of any law.
- Damage, Loss and Security Deposit
The Renter is responsible for:
- Vehicle damage;
- Accidents;
- Theft;
- Loss of keys;
- Missing equipment;
- Cleaning costs;
- Traffic infringements;
- Parking fines;
- Tolls;
- Late return charges.
Where applicable, a security deposit may be held.
The security deposit may be used for: - Damage costs;
- Unpaid charges;
- Excess kilometres;
- Fuel replacement;
- Cleaning;
- Breaches of this agreement.

- Insurance and Damage Protection
Where insurance or protection products apply, coverage is subject to:
- The relevant insurance terms;
- The Renter complying with this Agreement;
- The Renter providing requested information;
- The Renter cooperating with claims processes.
Coverage may not apply where the Renter: - Breaches these terms;
- Drives illegally;
- Uses the vehicle outside approved conditions;
- Acts recklessly;
- Allows an unauthorised driver.
- Accidents and Incidents
The Renter must immediately:
- Stop safely;
- Notify emergency services if required;
- Report the incident through Ryder’s Xchange;
- Provide photos and information;
- Cooperate with any investigation.
The Renter must not admit fault or make agreements with third parties without approval.
- Fuel / Charging
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel or charge level as provided.
If returned with less fuel or charge:
The Renter may be charged:
- Fuel/charging costs;
- Reasonable service fees.
- Traffic and Government Charges
The Renter is responsible for all traffic and government charges incurred during the booking
period, including:
- Speeding fines;
- Parking fines;
- Tolls;
- Traffic penalties;
- Government charges incurred during the booking period.
- Host Responsibilities
The Host agrees that:
- The vehicle is legally permitted to be listed;
- Vehicle details are accurate;
- Required registration and compliance requirements are maintained;
- The vehicle is safe for use.
- Ryder’s Xchange Platform Role
Ryder’s Xchange operates a marketplace platform connecting Hosts and Renters.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
Ryder’s Xchange:
- Does not own listed vehicles;
- Is not the vehicle owner;
- Does not act as the renter or host;
- Provides technology, payment and booking services.
The Host and Renter remain responsible for their obligations under this agreement.
- Cancellation
Cancellations are governed by the Ryder’s Xchange Cancellation Policy.

Refunds, credits or fees will apply according to the applicable cancellation rules. - Indemnity
The Renter indemnifies the Host and Ryder’s Xchange against losses, claims, damages, costs or
expenses arising from:
- Breach of this agreement;
- Misuse of the vehicle;
- Negligence;
- Illegal activity;
- Failure to comply with these terms.
- Privacy
Personal information collected through Ryder’s Xchange is handled in accordance with the
Ryder’s Xchange Privacy Policy.

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Western Australia.
The parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
Renter Acceptance
By confirming a booking through Ryder’s Xchange, the Renter confirms they:
